Georgia for Democracy would not exist without the tireless effort of our Volunteers. Our Volunteer Committees handle much of the work and planning of our organization.

Here is a list of Committees and the contact organizer for each. If you see something you like, send an email to the organizer and ask to be put on the contact list for that committee:

Legislative/Issues Committee: Tracks legislation during the session and conducts research for GfD Volunteer Forums/Panels regarding upcoming issues of local and statewide concern.
contact: Page Gleason

Special Events Committee: Handles larger events for GfD. If you are interested in Event Planning and Organization, contact: Juliana Illari

Fundraising Committee: Manages the details and planning of our yearly Pledge Drives and Get-Out-The-Vote funding programs. For a fun, exciting committee experience, contact: Catherine Smith

Progressive Vision Committee: Handles both the Progressive Manual and the statewide Progressive Summit Planning. Contact: Jerry Tyler

Voter Empowerment/County Organizing Committees (COVE): Handles all our field and community operations including Voter Registration drives and Get-Out-The-Vote programs. Contact: Angela Trigg

Outreach Committee: Maintains contacts with other Progressive organizations and seeks out new films and book opportunities for GfD. Contact: Susan Keith

Communications Committee: Maintains and develops content for our website and marketing materials. For a great learning experience, contact: Melanie Goux

FIELD ORGANIZING: We have openings all over the state for persons to organize their own neighborhoods and communities. Learn more about becoming a Community Coordinator or Neighborhood Captain by contacting Tim Cairl, tim@georgiafordemocracy.org.
