You may notice around our site that we use the phrase "Committees of Correspondence" to describe groups to which you belong. Committees of Correspondence were established in colonial America as tension with the British escalated. We admire the spirit of our forefathers and chose to honor their innovative means of communicating here at Georgia for Democracy. For a brief description of Committees of Correspondence, check this site.
You can set up your own Committee of Correspondence!
- Whether based on geography, interests, careers, or a specific event, from My GfD you can create a group and add your neighbors, friends, co-workers, or fellow volunteers.
- Make the group public, and anyone with similar interests can join you. Or, if you prefer to control the size and scope of your group, keep it private.
- Once you have your group established group members can post events, news and messages from within the "Committee of Correspondence" page.
We think our forefathers would be pleased with our adoption of their "Committees of Correspondence". |
